You can use Hear the Chord freely for learning, teaching and practice. Please don't copy the site wholesale, and remember it comes without any warranty.

Using the site

Everything on the site is free to use for personal practice and in the classroom, including printing the chord charts for students. You may link to any page. The site is operated by Stellar Capital LLC.

The embeddable player

You may embed the chord player on your own website, blog or course page using the code on the embed page, as long as you keep the link back to Hear the Chord that it shows. Please don't hotlink other files or scrape the site.

Content and accuracy

Chords, scales and sounds are generated and tested automatically, and we fix confirmed errors quickly, but the site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. It isn't a substitute for a teacher. The text, drawings, sound engine and design are © Stellar Capital LLC. Music theory itself belongs to everyone.

Links to lesson apps and shops are provided for convenience; we don't control those services and aren't responsible for them. See the affiliate disclosure.
